2021 has proven a busy year for LTi Metaltech. Having successfully taken on 8 new Welders this year alone, we are now looking to recruit a Trainee Welder to join our Production Team on a full time, permanent basis.
As a Trainee Welder, you will learn:
- Predominantly TIG welding – gaining and maintaining the required welding codes
- How to understand the information prescribed within Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Health, safety, quality and efficiency standards
- Non welding activities eg forming, grinding, operating overhead cranes
Please note we operate two shifts. The successful candidate must be flexible to move between shifts depending on where they are in their training plan.
- Early shift – 05.45 to 13.45 Monday to Thursday, 05.55 to 13.00 Friday
- Late shift – 14.15 to 22.25 Monday to Thursday, 13.00 to 19.00 Friday

To be a successful Trainee Welder, you will have already gained a qualification within Engineering such as a BTEC, National Diploma or NVQ. Interested in Welding and Fabrication, you will have some experience in manual based tasks and be motivated to learn and develop quickly.
This role would suit someone who is beyond Apprenticeship level but is not yet an experienced Welder.
