Apprenticeships

Apprenticeship

At LTi Metaltech, we are fully committed to finding the best talent to support the future growth of our business. In partnership with The Engineering Trust, we launched our first Apprenticeship scheme in 2014. Since then we have gone on to recruit one or two Welding and Fabrication Apprentices each year in what has proven to be a highly successful scheme.

Trainee Welders

In 2021 we launched our first Trainee Welder opportunity designed to capture individuals who are too qualified to become an Apprentice but don’t yet have the experience to join us as a skilled Welder. Having already gained an Engineering based qualification, this role fast tracks candidates with great potential through a structured training programme and exposes them to all areas of Production.

Placement Students

We recognise the value of gaining hands on experience as part of a university degree. In recent years we have taken on Mechanical Engineering students to complete their 12month placements within our Engineering department. Reporting directly in to our Engineering Manager, they gain fantastic exposure to our projects and processes and add value to our business throughout the placement year. As a result of exceptional performance, we have gone on to offer permanent Graduate Engineer opportunities.

To be considered for these opportunities you must be:

  • Motivated to learn and develop
  • Organised and structured
  • An excellent communicator
  • Flexible in your approach
  • Proactive
